Full Stack Web Developer

I was initially a front-end developer when joining Dunster House in 2013 and worked closely with the company as it grew over a period of 9 years, eventually becoming a full stack web developer.

In my spare time I like cycling and travelling. I have a passion for photography, playing guitar and other instruments.

Product Design

The process of creating a website is not just about coding.

Before beautiful sites come online and start attracting massive traffic, they go through a number of complex steps that people are generally unaware of.

Here are the 6 steps for creating a website:

  • Information gathering and analysis.

  • Process planning.

  • Design.

  • Development.

  • Launching the Website.

  • Maintenance.

Product Development

The Development process is the point at which the actual site is being built.

At that moment the webdeveloper controls all the prototypical graphics, frameworks and the sitemap, and uses them to create a functional website.

When writing code of the website, the following are used, among others technologies such as HTML, CSS and JS. This process is divided into two parts: frontend and backend.

Frontend, as the name suggests, is the development of the website that users see in the search engine (e.g. image animations).
Backend, in turn, refers to the development of the database and server query page (e.g. displaying the price of a product).

Maintenance & Support

Once the website is completed and uploaded it needs maintenance on a periodic basis.

People usually think that website maintenance is majorly about fixing the bugs that pop up after launching it but actually, it encompasses a lot more.

The most common needs in the field of website maintenance are:

  • Website and content updates: news, blog articles, photos, offers and promotions, etc.

  • Technical maintenance of the website and the integration of new technologies and functions.

  • Debugging of possible and unpredicted errors.
